The Numbers
Bugs Squashed: Our engineering team has been hard at work under the hood, resolving 20 bugs this week so far. Whether it’s stabilizing the new sector or polishing UI interactions, every fix is paving the way for a smoother, more resilient Avesta.
Beta Activity: You’ve collectively logged 493 hours (nearly 21 full days!) of playtime this week.
The Economy: The market is hungry for construction. Lumber was the most traded resource, with 1,379 units purchased.
Society Growth: No new Societies were formed this week, as established groups focused on fortifying their current territories.
The Dev Voice
Dev Voice: Evans, Senior Engineer
"We’re currently leveling up the Seedling Conversations feature, giving you more ways to spark meaningful (and sometimes unexpected) interactions. You can guide your Seedling to chat with others about any in-game topic, sharing knowledge, spreading information, or even persuading them to take action. Whether it’s teaming up to harvest wood, starting construction on a new building, or just convincing someone to play a game together, conversations now have more personality and impact than ever.”
The Forge
Build in Style
The Art team has been busy refining our core aesthetics, and this week we’re giving you a first look at the new wooden building pallets. These updated textures and models were designed to add more organic warmth and structural variety to your early-game settlements. We don't have a set release date for these just yet, but we will keep you posted on when they're ready for construction!

New Animations
In addition to the pallet updates, we’re also showcasing two brand-new character animations that highlight the physical toll of life on Avesta. These clips capture the subtle shifts in movement when Seedlings are suffering from illnesses or injuries, providing a clear visual cue that it’s time for their Cultivator to step in and provide some much-needed care.

Streamlining UI
Our UI/UX team has been hard at work streamlining your interaction with Avesta, and we're excited to share a sneak peek at the updated object catalog, marketplace, timeline/scheduler, and mini-chat interfaces. This redesign focuses on intuitive navigation and clearer information display, putting the tools you need right at your fingertips.

The Patch Highlight
Updates to society expansion
Following last week’s "Wear and Tear" hotfix, we’ve pivoted the cost of Plot Expansions from Pollen to Seedcoin. This change ensures your territorial growth feels more integrated with the broader economy.
This update is live on your current plots now and will be the standard for the new sector launching next week, allowing you to claim your new frontier with Seedcoin from day one.
Society Spotlight
The community feedback loop is alive and well this week! We loved seeing Seedster [Concordia Emperor] call out the new automatic building naming feature as a certified "WIN," confirming that better organization is key as your societies scale up.
On a lighter note, we caught some cross-society banter between Statio Vena and Concordia regarding the physics of Avestan life, specifically, the challenge of sitting and eating at the same time. While our Seedlings are advanced, apparently, multitasking at the dinner table is a skill tree they haven't quite unlocked yet!

Avesta Archive
What exactly is Dezima?

Before the first footprint was ever pressed into Avestan soil, there was Dezima: the massive interstellar ark that carried the remnants of humanity and their terraforming machinery from Earth to the Tau Ceti system. Now resting in permanent outer orbit, this vessel serves as the headquarters for Seed Industries and the "cradle" where Seedlings are born before they begin their descent to the surface.
Rather than a traditional "liftoff" from Earth, our arrival on Avesta is a story of touching down. Podster Seedlings are sent from the Dezima to the planet's surface via pods, arriving into a Kernel or Spaceport, depending on the stage of their society, thus marking the official start of their deployment under the watchful eyes of their Cultivators.
